Sessions
Counseling for teens and the people at home
Each kind of session is 50 minutes, in the office or by video. Kenyatta sets the pace with you, and there is no set number of sessions.
Teen therapy
For teens 13 to 18 who want a steady person to talk to who is not a parent, a teacher or a friend.
About teen therapyFamily sessions
A parent, a teen and sometimes a sibling, working on how you talk to each other at home.
About family sessionsParent sessions
For a parent on their own, with support for the part they play and none of the details of a teen's sessions.
About parent sessions
Before you choose
Which one do we start with?
Where do most families begin?
With a parent writing to us and a first session for the teen. Kenyatta explains the other kinds of sessions once she has met you.
Can a teen come without a parent in the room?
After the first part of the first session, yes. A parent or guardian still signs consent before the first session.
Do you see children under 13?
No. Kenyatta sees teens 13 to 18. If your child is younger, we will give you names of colleagues.
Ready to write to us?
A parent or guardian can write or call. We reply within one business day.
